A travel prepaid card provides a convenient and hassle-free method of paying when traveling internationally. By using a travel prepaid card, travelers can eliminate the need for checks or visiting a bank for currency exchange.
By using the REV Prepaid app (portal), you can easily lock your prepaid card to ensure that your funds remain secure the moment you lose your card.
Tip Tolerance is a temporary charge added to your REV Prepaid Mastercard® when it is used at hotels, restaurants, bars, salons, and certain retailers. (Usually at places that add gratuities for their services.)
The tolerance amount could be up to an additional 20% of your bill. Once the transaction has settled, the tolerance is then released and no longer held.
If your purchase total after adding in the tolerance amount, exceeds the balance on the card, the transaction will be declined.
Example: If your total bill at a restaurant is $100, the card may be preauthorized for $100 + 20%. Although you will only be charged for the $100, you will need an available balance of at least $120 on the card for the transaction to be approved.
