Questions?

What is the difference between a discount and a rebate?

A discount is a reduction in the price of a product or service, usually applied at the time of purchase. A rebate is a partial refund or reimbursement given after the purchase has been made. Rebates are often offered to allow customers to claim a portion of their payment back.

How does a rebate prepaid card work?

After the conditions within a specific agreement have been met, cardholders can claim a percentage of the purchase price back for a better deal on their next order. Once the rebate claim is verified and approved, the amount is credited back to the prepaid card, allowing cardholders to spend it instantly.

What is Tip Tolerance?

Tip Tolerance is a temporary charge added to your REV Prepaid Mastercard® when it is used at hotels, restaurants, bars, salons, and certain retailers. (Usually at places that add gratuities for their services.)

The tolerance amount could be up to an additional 20% of your bill. Once the transaction has settled, the tolerance is then released and no longer held.

If your purchase total after adding in the tolerance amount, exceeds the balance on the card, the transaction will be declined.

Example: If your total bill at a restaurant is $100, the card may be preauthorized for $100 + 20%. Although you will only be charged for the $100, you will need an available balance of at least $120 on the card for the transaction to be approved.
